Our coffee estate, Mallaisan Gudda, is nestled high in the mist-laden hills of Chikmagalur, where the steep valleys and unique soil conditions combine to produce superior high elevation coffee with a distinct and unmatched flavour. The plantation is 150 years old and the estate has been in the Coelho family for more than five decades. Coelho’s Gold is a family-owned and operated business. We control the entire process from plant to cup, resulting in a superior coffee experience for you.

The Heart of Our Coffee Legacy

Arabica thrives high on the mountain at elevations of 1000 to 1100 meters, beneath layered shade trees and along steep valleys shaped by heavy rains. These unique conditions create a delicate and distinctive flavour. Lower down, robusta coffee is cultivated in equally ideal conditions. Under the Coelho family's care, every step, from cultivation to roasting, is guided by the land, reflecting a harmonious balance between nature and human craftsmanship in every single cup served.
